This. Just talk to your adjuster and explain what has happened and what you are trying to get done about it. They will know best how to address the situation

Yes. Call the adjuster. They will know more than the agent. Just remember, you can't take your neighbor or his ins. company to court now that you have turned it into your company. That is, unless, your company decides not to go through legal (arbitration/suborgation) action.

The only problem is the agent doesn't/isn't allowed to tell you wht the claims outcome is and they aren't allowed to tell you wht to do. The only thing they can do is talk to the claims adjuster and try to help your case. Thats about it

Honestly I just read all 10 pages. Given the amount of proof you have. I would hold off with your ins company and seek legal advice. No company large or small wants to be drug to court. You can probably get all of your attorneys fees included in the suit and come out ahead. I would also be very careful as to what you post here regarding this issue going forward if you do decide legal action.

smithr1730 said I can't take them to court because I have turned it into my insurance company. All I have done with Geico is let them know about the incident and met with an adjuster and got an estimate. I do have a claim number but I haven't had any work done on my truck. I am so confused as to whats the best thing to do at the moment.

I did earlier suggest the Lawyer. My agent has been very helpful to me in past house and vehicle issues. Both suggestions stand.

Theres not much to do. You will get your truck fixed thru you insurance. Your company will decide whether or not to go after your neighbor's company. If they decide to purse legal action, you will have to wait until the legal action is done and hope they win. If your company doesn't purse legal action, then you have the opportunity to take your neighbor to court to at least get your deductible back and maybe a little extra for your time/ "pain and suffering lol until then you can't do anything except wait.

I guess the only other thing you can do is talk to your agent and adjuster and try to figure out if your neighbor's company didn't have cause to deny the claim. Then you can file a complaint against your neighbor's ins. co

Their insurance denied covering my truck as an "Act of Nature" and I have an attorney calling me tomorrow to see about suing his insurance company and him personally.

That's a shame the guy won't own up to this and just pay his deductible. Has your truck been repaired now? If so how did it turn out?

This tripped me out real good for my sway bar install. The arms had to be set at different heights and I couldn't figure out what I had done wrong till I pulled out the tape measure.

    Sorry for the thread hack…

Because I think hiring an attorney will be able to do more than use of Geicos as they may just cover everything and not even bother. Plus the satisfaction of screwing him and his insurance via my attorney will feel better :D

Nope planning a wedding saving every penny. Nothing has been done to my truck yet.
