Speedway Blue Tacoma with SS badges

On my way to the gym I see this beautiful Speedway Blue 2nd gen Tacoma sitting at the light. As I get closer to it I'm like are those Rally Stripes? Sure enough it had white Rally Stripes going across the tail gate over the top, and across the hood, just like you would see on a 69 Camaro.

And as I was coming up behind it, and beside it I also see the old school SS badges on the tailgate, and on the side of the doors under the Tacoma badges, I couldn't get in front of it to see if he had the SS badge on the grill but I would assume he did.

It had the TRD Sport stickers on the side of the bed, so I'm not sure if it was a play on the sport part (Super Sport) or did he own an old school Camaro as well.

At first I was like WTF!! But I have to admit with the white rally stripes painted on with that beautiful speedway blue it looked very nice, and I found myself liking the play on words with it being a TRD sport truck, and at least he did a nice job putting it all together..

I will try and take some pics of it next time I see it...

 

Was it supercharged? Could have stood for Supercharged Sport?

 

but its soooo much more fun to be a sleeper
