Why I went with a color matched grill instead of chrome.

chrome mirrors and door handles??? that makes me think of a ford f-150 or something. tacos aren't meant to have that sort of thing.

then again my 1988 toyota had chrome mirrors, handles, bumpers, toolbox, and grill.

    ...but times have changed.

I don't see why 30K is too much for a Tacoma? Some of us appreciate the extra power of the V6, the extra space for passengers or cargo offered by an access cab or double cab, and the ease of an automatic, among the other various options and features that are on a 30K truck.

I agree that is too much for a stripped down regular cab, but the guys paying 30+ for their trucks aren't buying a stripped down regular cab. They're buying an optioned access or double cab.

I don't like a lot of chrome on trucks, but I think the limited is really nice, just my opinion. A lot of tacoma owners hate on the XSPX but that's just there opinion. I really don't mind the chrome rear bumper or grille surround that much, but I do think color match looks much more sporty and aggressive.

you folks can complain all you want on the limited, but the warden's next Tacoma will be a limited.

and 90% of the general public will agree with her, they like it. us 10% on this forum are the minority and the limited is catered to those like my wife.

I think everybody is too used to black wheels, etc. I personally think it's a nice truck.

The chrome is just awful. Only truly significant thing that truck has is leather n seat heat, big deal, u can install better aftermarket. The chrome detracts from what could be a really clean truck. Can't believe what $ they get for these things!!

And the guy who put the limited f150 look alike badging on his truck in this thread, come on man lolz

    I really like the blue!
Those that like it & buy it with have the advantage of the limited package being listed in blue book/black book/nada upping the resale.
    And who pays sticker anyway?
Also I thought the 5' beds never had the bed cubby holes? Mine doesn't & don't remember my 2006 either.
It does have the little covered boxes at the end of the bed.

    Lets not go that far.....

    Good way of putting it.

Each truck variance has it's own niche market. The TRD ORSB fits my "needs" and "wants" perfectly. I would personally feel silly driving around in the Limited with all the chrome but that's just me. I like my truck to have form AND function and the Limited has much more form over function to me. That is also why I didn't buy a Sport or a LB (saved for another discussion) because I don't like he hood scoop and I wanted ATRAC in my truck. I didn't need (have room) for a LB so I didn't get one. Everything on my truck that was chrome has been changed except the rear bumper and that will be changed soon enough.

To all you guys / girls with Limited trucks. We're not bagging on ya. It's your money and you can spend it anyway you like. For the price, there were just better options with more function out there IMO than a prettied up Tacoma.

At least you still bought a Tacoma ;)

You bought a 4 cylinder, bare bones, wannabe truck and you laugh off trucks with chrome. Now THAT is laughable.

I own the limited. I like the bells and whistles. Do I like the chrome, meh, its okay, not a huge fan. But I like the nav, heated seats, fake leather, and jbl. I didn't pay anywhere near sticker. And to the dude that wrote that limiteds are an embarrassment to Tacomas, you can kiss my arse.

    You mad bro? :D

I wasn't the one that wrote the Limited was a embarrassment to the Tacoma but for the price you paid (even though you didn't pay close to sticker, neither did I) you could have got the exact same thing I did with the same options I got (save for fake leather seats) with more function. Mine also has the upgraded Entune with Nav and every other option available. It didn't come with stock 18" fake chrome wheels that will get torn up on the first gravel road you take it down.

That said, There is nothing wrong with your truck at all other than all the tacky chrome and less functional options for a premium price tag.

ha, my feelings were hurt and I turned into a little bitch.

It was more to point out that 4 cylinder guy and I know you didnt say that about the limited.

And I agree with what you are saying, I could have saved a decent amount of coin by going down a different path, but the salesman got me on a bad day and offered me a good trade in value for my old car. Live and learn!

Maybe I have a touch of buyers remorse only because of all the chrome, and it doesnt help reading this forum! The hate for chrome is amazing at times. I didnt mind the chrome before going on the forum, but my opinion has become skewed as of recent since I joined up on this site.

I can deal with the chrome bumper and all the rest. Just those damn wheels, some days I like em, other days I just hate em. I didnt realize they were covers till I got home and I was like WTF. I can always change them out, or maybe peel the covers off (which sounds like a real pain the ass). Guess while I'm at it, do the chrome covers on the door handles and side mirrors come off, wouldnt mind them being the same color as the truck?

Haha no worries man. You still have a nice truck so don't feel bad about it. It is still very capable at doing what you need to do. If you don't like the chrome that is easily remedied and you still have the easier to clean seats. As far as the chrome trim on the handles I really couldn't tell you about those. I don't know if they are just stuck on trim or if they are actually made that way. Wheels will always be easy (albeit not cheap) to change. I did it to mine (and yes I realize black is played out but "I" still like it). The only chrome I have left is my damn rear bumper and I personally hate it but again that is easily remedied. If I can just quit spending money on my bikes I'd be set.
