    I considered the truck...waiting for it that is.

    Price point high $30's easy.....no automatic overly complex and being new, even if quality excellent, no aftermarket parts for years.

    Diesel sounds good but another year to wait and extra cost will push cost over $30K. Plus extra fuel cost and urea crap too costly sorry

    Happy with my now custom Tacoma that started just north of 30

    It's a gm product. Even if the Colorado came with complimentary blow jobs there would be recalls for too much teeth and acid saliva

    I was a GM person for many years. In 2001 I bought a GMC Sonoma 4x4 new. It had a few bugs ...

    Rattles in doors, glove box, dash (eventually fixed)
    Bad Cruise controller.
    Multiple window seals replaced, multiple times.
    Ticking and clicking in the cab due to bad body welds - eventually the dealer popped out the sides of the truck trying to locate... had it repainted (with starbursts in paint)
    Dealer Plastic bed liner wore through paint in bed in 3K miles. Bed Repainted (with runs)
    Due to welds still clicking ... truck was OK'd for buy back in 3 mo.

    It took an additional 3 months to get the truck from the factory to the dealer due to trucking strikes.

    2002 replacement;
    Not same options as promised.
    Rear end loud. Sand? / contamination in diff oil. Rear end gutted and all new bearings and gears replaced. Then Whined at 45 mph. Never was fixed...
    Water leaking in cab from right front windshield support welds.

    Driven 75K in 10yrs and traded for my 2012 taco after the following was replaced;
    Both front wheel bearings, 3 ball joints, 1 idler arm/drag link, 1 tie rod end. 3 E brake cables, 4 sets of brakes, 4 1/2 sets of Rotors. And I'll stop there... but there was more.

    I have had almost no issues with my 2012 Tacoma. (and I bought my Taco at an almost same price as my 2001 Sonoma.)

    I'll never buy another GM again.

    My new sig is

    Hey, Smokie1, while GM did sell a lot of S10/S15s, take a look at what the used ones still on the road look like. Here in central Texas there are a ton of 1st gens still on the road and still in good shape, while the GM products that are still running look like they're falling apart. Plus, while the Tacomas may cost more, they hold their value so much better. A 12 year old 1st gen brings 3 or 4 times as much as an S10/S15 the same age.
