How often do you clean your throttle body and MAF sensor?

Over the weekend I made a mini trip (200 miles) all highway at 65 MPH and I could almost watch the gas gauge go down, very disappointed.

So I replaced the air filter sunday and last night cleaned the MAF and throttle body. I was very surprised at how dirty and gunked up the TB was for only having 12,500 miles on the truck.

Anything else I should look at or clean before our beach trip this coming Saturday?

Weathertech floor liners moded to hold OEM floor mats, weathertech vent visors, Toyota bed mat, LEER 100XL cap, hood gasket mod to stop whistling.
    2006 Tacoma with 175K, never did, 2007 Camry I4, at 100K, 2006 Camry V6 79K, never.

My I4 Camry was pretty nasty, my Tacoma never looked dirty.... and it had a K&N all its life.

I have 60k on my truck right now.
It is the 4.0 and I have not cleaned mine.
I don't plan to any time soon either.

FWIW, The gas tank on these truck are not linear with the fuel gauge.
The rate at which the fuel gauge falls is faster from about 2/3 to 1/3 of a tank. So the top and bottom of the tank are slower falling for me at least.
