My trim around the windows looks almost moldy. I've tried armour all, wd40, and various other products. I can't tell if it is stained or what. Anyone else have this?

I have found that a Mr. Clean magic eraser works well on trim and molding. A bit of water and some elbow grease and you're good to go.

looks like mold to me :notsure:

    my 08' has it everywhere.

Toyota quality is going downhill... my buddys 85' rubber looks better and so does his paint. It's disgraceful and Toyota should stop counting beans so much...

WD-40 eats rubber. The mold looking stuff looks to me like the smooth outer layer had worn off in splotches. The Magic Eraser is a mechanical abrasive, that's why it cleans so well. It takes a small layer off the top, like sandpaper.

I'd say the WD-40 made it worse.

Back To Black or a similar product will make the black plastic like new.

Mine has it on just about everything made of rubber. Yuk.

And ditto on the older ones. Other then the black coating wearing off from being rubbed/windblown for 27 years and 275,000 miles, all the trim on my 87 looks better then my 2010.

You know, my three month old 2014 Tacoma's trim looks a little like this already. I think the automatic car washes have something in the spray, that has really poor pH. The first time I noticed it, was about 15 min after a touchless wash. I didn't hand dry it, and it was a really hot day.
