Wht are the min. recommendations for this trek? ^^^ I've been considering doing this for a while[/QUOTE]

Not real sure but I know of a guy who completed it in a stock jeep liberty with a set of all terrains as he followed a group of motorcycles. Not much info about guys doing it with 4wd vehicles. Would like to know more about it as well. Sounds like it'd be a pretty cool backroad drive that goes on and on.

I've driven mine from New Mexico to Oregon and back, 1600 miles each way. Ive also driven from New Mexico to North Dakota a few times and back, about 2500 miles round trip on that one. My truck has always been a champ and never complained about the long miles.

Last month went from home RAF Lakenheath, England to the beaches in Normandy, France; then to Bastogne, Belgium; then Arnhem, Netherlands; and finally back home to RAF Lakenheath.

Total almost 1,500 miles 2 weeks after I took delivery of her.

In a 93 4Runner I made the trip from Kodiak Ak on a ferry to homer and drive from homer to Petaluma over 10 days. If I recall I put 3700 miles on her. From Petaluma to Portsmouth va in the same 4Runner. Did ports mouth to Seattle by dropping down the 95 to the 10 and across to Los Angeles then up to Seattle in a 2005 Tacoma. As of now I routinely make the oakland to Seattle trek. Best I've done that in is a hair under 11 hours

My wife and I drove our new truck from Ohio to Maine in June for our 30th anniversary. Basically, we drove to the ocean, then turned left. Wandered around Maine for a while...

Virginia to Indiana. About 11 hours. Love my truck, but that was way too much for me. I think I'll stick to less than that. Super uncomfortable for my tall ass. Had me considering a full size truck. Maybe I need to work in more stops.....

I'm 6'2" and I am surprisingly comfortable in my truck on long trips... My tires need a little balance is all right now, but surprisingly the seats in this truck are some of the only ones that don't hurt me on long drives.

Cool road trip; I did this several years ago but in a brand new BMW 3 and started in Germany. I called it the 'band of brothers' road trip.

6000 miles plus, do it every year visiting friends and relatives in California for 6 weeks, always performs flawlessly, the gas cost is a biatch though...
