So back in May, I was rear-ended by an idiot that ran from the scene. The accident ended up bending my frame in multiple places and required significant work. I ended up getting a new frame and today (3 months later) I finally got her back! The truck looks so much better and surprisingly rides and handles better than before. I also think that it sits higher. I feel like its Christmas Day haha But here she is!

Glad you got your truck back and that they did a really good job of fixing it. Getting hit by idiots blows doesn't it?

New frame on an '06 and they didn't total it???? No way I'd want that truck back, but it looks like you're very happy with it, and that's what matters! My '09 was recently rearended and I just needed a new hitch and a few hours on a frame machine to test specs, and they almost totaled it.

Yea I was kinda surprised too, but it only had 75xxx miles on it when it happened and they appraised it as $20k. Also if I wasn't in the accident, then I would most likely be getting a new frame because it was super rusty anyway

When you say the idiot ran from the scene. I assume you mean they actually ran, that car doesn't look drivable.

Yea, I hope the owner gave the cops their friends name, address, dob, social. Throw their ass under the bus and the car behind it.

I just got mine back yesterday from a 17 day vacation at the body shop to have some rear end damage repaired. Guy who hit me is still denying he hit me, so my insurance had to pay out on a collision claim and then go after his insurance in arbitration. My RR Fender Flare was not quite right so I took it back to have them look at it today. The owner of the shop was trying to see if it would lay flat and broke one of the mounting tabs off. So they are replacing the fender flare now on their dime.

Though I did use this as an excuse to get a more robust rear bumper, the bolt on from Armored Tech Offroad.

That sucks man! Hopefully you'll get justice thru his company. I got stuck paying my dedutible and now I've gotta take the asshole to court to get my money back plus some for my rental car and my troubles. Gonna come out to around $5k that he owes me. I will eventually be getting a rear plate bumper for added protection!
