Trying to decide between the Dick Cepek Torque Wheels vs Method Double Standard. Also, I plan on getting either in the 16x8 size because of their light weight. I've had 20's and I'll never go that route again. I like black rims but with a machined lip, especially a simulated beadlock lip. I know many of you may or may not like either and suggest something else but I really only care what you think between these two unless it's another black rim with machined lip. Thank you for your participation.

That must be a newer Dick Cepek wheel, looks sweet. Only thing i can say is i was pretty dissapointed in my Dick Cepek dcII's. I had those and they claim to have a clearcoat that keeps them from pitting and rusting. Sounded awesome since i live in MN, home of the salt roads half the year. 2.5 years later the clearcoat was peeling off and looked pretty bad. Awesome wheel except for that flaw. If you dont live in an area with salt on the roads then you would probly love them.

Rims and tires , exhaust , stereo , Bhlm ,Changed carpet to black from grey. toytec ultimate lift kit. Allpro front bumper and light bar. In process of blacking out interior. Otrattw switches, black vinyl armrest mod, clazzio leather seat covers with heaters, flowmaster dual exhaust, hornblasters train horns,
Find out where the method wheels are made. The dick cepek wheels are made in china. Look nice at first but the clear coat is garbage and doesn't last. Got my DC wheels and all over the box was made in china. I wouldn't have bought then had I known that.

Even the DC1s were horrible. I live in central TX where there is ZERO salt, and the clearcoat is so effed up, i'm embarrassed to even drive my truck. When i get a chance, i'm going to paint them.

That said, I like the DC Torque wheels (LOL?). Hopefully that got their sh*t together on this wheel.

Sadly, most of the wheel manufacturers use China. I had the same thing happen on my MotoMetals. Once the clear coat goes, the wheels do look like garbage.

I love the Dick Cepek. I looked at them when I searched for my own. Love that look.

Thats exactly why I dont do machined face wheels anymore...
No matter how clean you keep them they will pit if you live near salt water or live where they put salt on roads. Thats why I went with the fuel offroad powder coated all black wheels. Never have to worry about pitting with an all black wheel

The DC's are the prettier of the 2 IMO. The others remind me of MR7's that every single honda ricer in my town has lol.

I just recently put Dick Cepek torques on my truck and I love them. I picked mine up at Amazon with free shipping for around 120 a rim. To me at the price I felt if the lasted me 4 years the I'd get my money out of them.

It is also my experience any aluminum rim that has clear coat on them is doomed once the moisture get behind the clear coat and You will Usually see it on the edge where the wheel weight is first.

Wow, no wonder Amazon is putting companies out of business with prices/shipping like that. I agree with you about clear coat on aluminum. All of them do it eventually

I don't know if anyone has mentioned these wheels, but fuel makes some nice ones:

Thanks Matt, I did see these from Fuel and am a fan but haven't found any good pics of actual wheels yet on a Taco

I really liked Anza d557 and would have liked to purchase these, however I decided on Cepek's torque. Similar look but not so much $$

Nice choice either way. I'm going with level 8 ZXs then getting the optional scratch guard and color matching it. they have the ZXs in all black or black with machined lip
