I have an 05 Tacoma V6 TRD. Airbag light on the dash has been on for several months. I used a friends diagnostic computer on it and got two codes: B1000 and B1610. I think this means that the airbag ECU has gone bad, but I'd like to get confirmation before I buy the part and install it. I found a few threads on here about this topic, but didn't see anything definitive. Can any of you confirm that these codes indicate an airbag ECU failure? (I was able to confirm that my truck is not part of the clockspring recall. Although I guess that doesn't necessarily mean that the clockspring hasnt failed) --Thanks, much.

The B1610 indicates the passenger side Seat Belt Pretensioner.

And you are correct the B1000 indicates an ECU Malfunction.

@Wannaataco One of the airbag sensors failed and I had it replaced. No problems since then. It had nothing to do with the seat belt.
