The last few times I've been through an automatic car-wash the high-speed air dryer unseats the rubberized strips on the roof of my Tacoma. I am not sure what their explicit purpose it (if they even have one) but having them dangling upon coming out of the car wash and then having to climb up and reseat them back in place is annoying. Has anyone else had this problem? I am debating just taking them off completely. Thanks

a few people have had this happen.. but they just had the dealer fix it.. mine stay put on my 12'. and i go through a car wash once a week, or every other.

restick them with 3m weatherstrip or take it back to your dealer and tell them whats happening. otherwise you will lose them

Go back to the dealer and tell them they are coming off. They did that on my truck and the dealership fixed them.. Under warranty of course. by the way they cover the welds for the roof.

    Dealership will fix them.

Hand wash only. If you don't have them fixed expect one or both in your rear view mirror laying on the highway.

I always check to see if there still there when I pull out of the wash. No touch wash only of course.

I would never wash my truck if my only choice was a machine car wash. Scratches the paint all to hell.

Hand wash, clay bar, 2 coats of wax/sealant 2X per year and the paint stays absolutely perfect.

thanks, I will have to make some time to get them fixed at the dealer. I got the truck in December so it is definitely still under warranty
