I got the 5 yr Roadside Assistance package when I bought my pre-owned 13' Tacoma in January, probably got suckered into it but whatever...

Question is has anyone had any experience with it? Is it reliable? My AAA ran out last month and I am wondering if should even bother renewing it. I would hope the Toyota package would cover anything I would really need, therefore making the only reason for keeping AAA is discounts for certain things (hotels etc....)

    Thoughts?

Curious also, I almost used it once but from the sound of the customer service rep it sounded like a shitty option at the time

One can never have too many light bars.
The Roadside service is essentially the same thing as AAA. The time I used Toyota's service when I locked my keys in my truck the tow truck driver had the "AAA" sticker on his truck. I would say go with AAA but now that you paid for Toyota's service there's no point in having both.

Most deals have a clause that you can sell it back or it is transferable to another owner in event of sale. Read your deal compare it to AAA and if you have the clause and think AAA is better then cancel. :)

You shld talk to your insurance agent, theres a lot of companies that offer towing coverage and its usually cheaper than AAA. I know my policy has 100 miles of free towing

    Not enough...
They are all the same tow companies subcontracted by different automakers and insurance companies. Even AAA shops are all subcontracted independent shops, they just follow AAA SLA' and go through AAA training. So essentially BMW, Toyota, AAA are all the same.

Source: Drove a tow truck for a shop subcontracted by AAA.
