I understand the front deflector that goes in front of the hood...but what is the point of the side window deflectors? Do you guys live in areas where it just rains down with bugs onto your truck when you are driving? Do they serve some other purpose? Like a little extra sun protection?

    Genuinely curious

I'm pretty sure those are rain deflectors on the side windows lol

EDIT: But I just roll my windows up when it rains

Oh is it? Ha. Ok, that would make more sense if so, especially if you live in a really rainy part of the country

They let you crack the window when it's raining, so you can vent the cab (farts and cigarette smoke?) or cut down on window hazing, and I'm sure they're handy in other situations also.

They also help in hot climates. You can crack your window to let the truck have a little bit of airflow so it isn't as hot as it would be if the windows were rolled up (when parked).

Have always called those "Smoker guards" out here. Lets you smoke in the car, while driving.

They are commonly referred to as vent visors. I have them on my truck and car. They are great for leaving the windows cracked while the car is parked for the day like at work keeps the car cooler than if the windows were up all day

Yeah they let you roll your windows down! always the first purchase on a new vehicle around my house! With those on someone can't tell your windows are rolled down and are less likely to tamper with your car. Also helps if you'd like to crack a window when its raining as also stated.

I have noticed that they also drastically reduce the wind that comes through the cabin when you are driving on the interstate with the windows open. I love mine. Leave windows cracked all day and not worry about it raining
