BTW, where in Texas? It's a big place and I'm from DFW and have lived in most the major cities. There are few places there that I would consider owning a bike. It's suicide in DFW.

ASSUMING that all else is kept equal. I would much rather buy a 100k truck that looks like it was loved and cared for, than a 25k truck that was beaten to crap or ripped up.

As a buyer, miles tell me very little, other than how many maintenance intervals it may have been through. 35k towing miles is alot rougher on a truck than 100k highway cruising miles.

Want good resale? Take care of the truck, inside and out, and miles are easy to overlook (its a toyota.. 100k+ is barely scratching the expected life of our vehicles)

I would be in San Antonio. I fail to see any logic behind your argument. I have done the math and see it as a very viable option to save money and retain maximum resale value. I have given my data, feel free to provide yours.

Maybe I'll see you around when you get to Keesler, I live down the street. You guys keep it down over there...

As for the mileage, I bought my tacoma knowing I could put a ton of miles on it and it would still hold its value better than others.

My truck looks like crap but I maintenance it religiously. I could care less for cosmetics but it all depends on what you do with the truck.

My daily commute is 85 miles round trip. I've tried have a commuter car and a truck and I don't think I saved anything. The cost of the commuter car, insurance, the hassle of the extra car in the driveway, more repairs, etc. I got rid of both vehicles and got a tacoma. It is easier and I doubt it cost me that much more.
