Interior Trim

So, I am on a mission to remove everything shiny from my truck. I can't stand chrome and silver trim. Would someone with an SR5 (or base?) package confirm that these pieces are black in their trucks please?

center console trim around the gear shifter and A/C vent trim with a hole for 4x4 switch. I'll have to figure out what to do with steering wheel trim though.

Look the same on an SR5. But I believe the base is black.

 

Also silver? Not black? Im looking at a parts catalog online and SR5 trim seems to be 1/3 of the price of TRD trim. What gives?

 

Look for the SR package Tacomas. I believe their trim is all black. Or maybe it was that XSP-S one...

 

Yeah the SR5 is also Silver just like in the pic you posted, BUT I'm pretty sure the Base is black.. Why don't you just paint the ones you have?

 

The black ones only come on the base models which you can order at any toyota dealership. I was tired of the silver pieces too and had them hydro dipped.

Confirmed. Even the steering wheel could be exchanged, if you didn't care for the controls.

Can't believe how much better it looks in black, almost makes my SR5 look chintzy.

 

I'm definitely doing the swap! Will look even better than the picture with my black Katzkins and black TRD shift knob

 

Cough..... And like I said why don't you just paint the ones you have?

 

If some one could supply a part number for it I will definitley buy one. I looked at oem toyota scion parts. Com they had a few listed thr cheapest was 140 rest where over 200. Don't want buy it and end with the same thing I have lol

 

Because I don't like the way paint looks.

I stopped by the local dealer this afternoon to get part numbers, but their system does not specify colors. He said I need to give him a VIN from a truck that has black trim. So i just went on cars.com, found a truck with back trim, copied VIN and emailed it to the parts dude. Ill let you guys know as soon as he gets back to me with part numbers.

 

There is a company that makes stick on dash kits that fit pretty good.I bought them for my Challenger.
