Trying to decide on whether or not I should keep my step rails (nerf bars) on the truck. Im guessing that these came stock with the 2011 TX TRD. I don't ever use them and I'm thinking it may look better without them. Plus the vinyl on the step part is fading some. Just wanted some opinions.

Yes I want sliders...but no that is not in the budget right now.

    Thanks

Take the steps off, sell them and put the $$ towards your future slider purchase!

I voted no and here is why. I was at the bank a few months ago and this old lady who must have been a big deal was upset because I parked in her spot. She parked beside me and proceeded to slam her door into my truck. LUCKILY I had the side steps before my sliders.

hold onto to the side steps and when you get sliders sell them and re coupe your money.

When you put them up for sale you could also see if anyone will trade for some used sliders

Pulled the rails off real quick today just to see how I liked it. Will probably ride with them off for a few days and see which I like better.

i've never liked the look of steps on anything unless the truck is so high in the air that it's impossible to get into it without them.

The OEM tube steps are too high up and too far under the truck to do any good. I don't do any extreme off roading so I went with some Go Rhino oval tube steps that sit lower and further out and are actually useful for shorter people like my girlfriend getting into the truck.

I say sell what you have and buy what you really want (sliders).

yeah most every pair of steps i've seen are useless. there is not even room to put your foot on them unless you step sideways which is awkward to do.

plus it makes the truck look lower to the ground which i don't like either.

i always just grab the handle on the a-pillar and step into the truck and pull myself up and in that way.

probably a dealer or distributor add on for $600. Most Baja's around here had them when I was looking. I did not want so I deducted when making offers. I finally located one without them. I do not need them to get in and out of truck. For me if they are not functional i would not want them especially for the price.

X2. Those came on my '13, but I did not want them, because there was not a lift on my truck. They are more for looks IMO, or if you are really short and dumpy
