Yeah that bed kinda through me for a loop when i first got my truck. I was like wtf plastic? I guess they are pretty strong, but i wouldn't want to haul an engine back there though.

This has probably been covered some where but how do you get the decals off?

Tow package isn't specific to TRD models only.

Looks like the previous owner had the mod bug.
For me I like the stickers on, can't figure out why some want to debadge.
I want everyone to know I have the TRD Offroad.
Of course it's their truck and they can do as they please.

I hauled my Mopar big block and 727tf in the bed of my '07. They are quite strong.

the bed itself is very strong. i used to haul steel to the scrap yard in it. i would quit loading when the leafs could not take any more. at 500lbs its squatting pretty good. max i think i ever went was about 800lbs, but had to drive slow and watch bumps!, i have tossed, literally tossed, bricks and 75lb chunks of metal it it before, it doesnt sound good sometimes, but to date no cracks. (it has the oem trd plastic bedliner if that matters). only issue is the tailgate, ALWAYS, I MEAN ALWAYS remove it if you are loading anything with weight to it, IT WILL BEND it if ya toss, (i mean like toss, not like 2 guys sitting on it) something about 300lbs or more on it!

NEVER put ramps on the tailgate when loading a bike or 4wheeler, lawn mower, etc, it will bend!

all in all, bed is pretty solid, just wish dealers would tell people the tailgate is weak, i seen many guys mess up the tailgate not knowing. :(

Anyone know where/how to vin-verify your model? I'm 98% sure that mine is a TRD OR, but the decals were removed before I bought it and none of my paperwork verifies. Just wondering for resale value...in about 15-20 years lol.

mmmmmm......Mopar!:D I love mopar muscle! Nothing like a 440 (or 383) and a TF tranny!
Thats good to know that the beds are strong though.

at work i can access insurance database and look up the vin, but it will give like manu model numbers and codes, you would have to figure out if that means trd or whatever.

but if you pm your vin ill see what it gives.

I have loaded 1 ton in the bed (on a pallet) I regularly put a 1000# in the bed no problems aside from the leafs getting flat:( I have bent the tailgate, straightened it myself, there are ways to reinforce it:D

If you have an elocker, you have a TRD OffRoad. Is there a button on the dash left of the steering wheel that says RR Diff Lock?

Op - is there an outlet in your bed?
