Hey guys, I've got dinging anytime I open my dr. door. My taco thinks the key is in the ignition. But it's a bit of an idiot. I already disconnected the wire within the steering column & that didn't stop it. I feel that removing the buzzer itself might work. What I really need is instructions on how to get at the dinger/buzzer. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
I should mention that, at the toyota dealership, they said the dinging was caused by some kind of cylinder, & is awfully costly just to stop some dinging. I won't pretend to understand that, but as I owned a lot of ford rangers, I can live with the mystery, I just can't live with the dinging anymore.

PM me your email address and I'll send you a PDF of the circuit.

The Buzzer is built onto ( soldered ) on the back side of the combination meter circuit board.
