Damn that is a great deal. Even if you paid $1000 to get it shipped it would be good...love those rims

Here is what I did in 2010. Wanted a certain color 2006 Mustang GT, did on line research locally, found nothing. Did nationwide Craigslist, found exact car in Detroit, I live in MO. The price was close, called seller for CarFax, and 100 photos. Then got him down to below lowest KBB, saved enuf for a one way Southwest Airline ticket, a new battery and 4 Michleins. Flew up, he met me at airport, car was as represented, (if it was not he knew it was a no sale), 2 hours later I was on way home. My only risk would have been a no sale and had agreed he'd take me back to airport. The thing is you need to find exactly what you want, establish trust with the seller, negotiate everything in advance, take a cashiers check....be as honest with him as you expect him to be with you. It was a great experience and I'd do it again....no question.

Not sure where you live that prices are that low, in my area a dcsb new is easily near or above 30k.

You got robbed if you're paying near or above 30k for a Non-TRD tacoma. Even the factory msrp says 24k plus taxes & license.

BTW I got my TRD Sport DCLB brand new for $27800

The prices must really vary regionally because I have been looking for a while and this seems to be the market where i live. Again, I am looking for a 4wd with the TRD OR package.

I have looked in different places parts of the country, mostly in Washington, Oregon, and Northern California. I am open to a short (super busy at work) trip to buy a truck but not really sure how to go about doing it long distance. I guess you just have to get lots of pictures and try and get a feel for the seller. Do you find a local mechanic or dealer to do an inspection? Any other tips?

IslandTaCO - Can you send me some details on your 09 you are selling?

I'd like to see that sticker of 24k for a 4x4 DCSB.

Definitely give truecar.com a try, you should easily be able to get 10-12% off msrp.

24k for dcsb is doable. The OP didn't even mention if he wanted a 4x2 or 4x4 until later in his post which is waaaaaay past my first post. Thanks for paying attention

The price is ok but could be better. The mods are good choices. I say keep looking and not jump the gun just yet. A +09 trd 4x4 can be at or near 24k. Keep your options open.

I am not really selling my truck unless i get the right price. It is a 4X2 DCSB. I am the first owner and the first 3 years i owned it would get deployed out to sea. Now im on the 5th year of owning the truck and i end up purchasing a 14' Corolla S to save gas. The gas mileage is great but i didn't think about adding another $80 per month on Car Insurance on top of my monthly. Aren't they Prrrty!

If i could give you any advice, it would be to look outside the area you live in. I've never bought anything locally, especially a Toyota. Dealers think they are made of gold. Deals are out there. Be patient & good luck.
