    Any recommendations on which ones work great for a good price? Im in orange country and i rather buy them from a store, I'm not really into online shopping. I have a 2014 double cap pre runner.

    I installed Smittybilt nerf bars. They are only $200 and looks nice. I got it from 4wheel parts store here in San Diego, which you should have there too.

    Thanks, i just checked out the website for 4wheel parts and there is one close to where i live. I saw 1 review and it said that the bars are too close to the truck making it a little difficult to get in and out of the truck, do you have that problem?

    I went with OEM running boards. Easy step up for the kids. takes some getting used to when exiting vehicle

    Ditto, I don't off road, I really like the lines of the OEM, purchased through "Toyota Parts" around $350 (I don't remember);

    I went with some smittybilts as well. They are close to the truck. I try to use em, but most of the time I just jump in. Bought for looks tbh... until I lift it of course.

    Def try OEM nerd bars. I like the look of those.

    I added a bolt once...
    I like the looks of theOEM running boards and the price seems fine...
    I went with the Avid Offroad "sliders" that bolt onto the OEM running board mounts.

    These are not true sliders but function like Nerf bars. I like the look of sliders and will upgrade to weld-on's when my warranty runs out (2014 TRD so I have some time:))...

    I'll post pics once they get here and I get them shot with paint. Still not sure what to paint these with...kind of second guessing my decision.
    Here are some pics from Avid

    For what it is worth I would only consider a running board or bar that is a slider. Even though the truck will see light off road duty it is piece of mind from the rouge rock. Most of the running boards/bars are for looks and when hit can cause added body damage to the truck.

    Get sliders OP

    They are tighter to the body for clearance reasons. You can request some manufacturers to make them where the degree or angle of the sliders to the ground is 0 for ease of getting in and out.

    If you get bolt on, get ones that bolt to the frame, like BAMF, as opposed to the cab mounts like Avid off road.

    I went with avid bolt ons and had them converted to weld on. :thumbsup:
