My Taco only has 7,000 miles and I just noticed last night when I turned fully I heard a grinding sound from the front end. Before I take it to the dealer, does anyone know what it could be? Thanks, Chris

had you just turned off 4WD or had you been driving in only 2WD?

I haven't had the 4WD on for about 3 weeks. So yes I have been driving in 2WD.

I think I have the same, though it's more like a rumbling. I have to be turned fully to the left then accelerate from zero and it rumbles for a second or 2. I asked the stealer about it a few weeks ago and he couldn't find anything.

Kind of a whine maybe too? It would be worth checking the fluid in your power steering system.

Bearings maybe? Wouldn't neccessarily only be when you turn though.

I am doubt it is the bearings. I only hear that sound when turning at full cock ..... going slowly. Also - it only happens when I turn left

Exact same noise coming from mine......I'm lifted now but noticed it when bone stock. Also seems to only be coming from the drivers side front, turning left, full lock.....Grinding or rattling describes it best.

I had the same problem when I put new rims on. Check the dust guards sometimes they grind against the wheel when turning.
