Curious if anyone can provide some insight from prior experience...

Looking to replace my stock 245/75R16 tires with some BF All Terrain 265/75R16 but not sure if there will be much of noticeable difference. I understand this is the max tire size w/o needing a lift.

Has anyone done similar and happy with the results?

    Thanks!

Bw s256 turbo with 3 in glass pack dumped pre axle raptor liner bed and top rails and fenderflares and rocker panels. Hunter side steps. Plasti-dipped upper fenders and emblems. satin black spray paint here and there inside and out. 5100's set to 1.75" up front . C channel front bumper. Maxxis bighorn 255/85/16
ur speedometer will read correctly now, ur odo will be off like 3% givertake. i'd personally put that koolaid down and look into another kind of tire. everyone on here pretty will tell u that the bfgs are running a 20 year old pattern and there are much better choices out there for the money or even less. u can actually run a 255/85/16 on stock suspension with little to no rubbing, which would be right in between the width of ur current and the 265 and it will be a touch over 33" tall.

BFG A/T's will outperform the stock tires hands down. I've run many a set and like them a lot. With that I've been looking at the Goodyear duratracs for my next set, although the talk of weak sidewalls does give me pause.

This. Not hating on the bfgs just saying there are some other great options out there that you may want to consider. I have a set of Toyos that have over 35K on them and look almost brand new. I would recommend Toyo tires to anyone. I know several people happy with their Nitto's and everything else. I would look around some and if you want t ostick with thebfgs then by all means go for it. Just my .02

Appreciate it. Interesting about the 255/85/16 size w/ no rubbing. My worry with the 265/75/16 AT is that I wouldn't be able to notice much of a visible difference.

I don't care what they look like as long as they preform.
I went 265/70/16 just to be safe from rubbing at full lock under front load.

You will notice the size a little and the agressive tire a lot. one of the biggest differences for me when I went from stock to my tires is in just how agressive the tire looks. It just changes the whole feel of the vehicle

The tire would be approx. 1.18 inches larger in Dia. (taller) so if you were going 60 MPH with the original tire on your speedometer you would now actually be going 62.33 MPH with the new tire.

You can go with 265/70R16, which gives you the same tread width as the 265/75R16, and has virtually the same circumference as the 245/75R16 so your speedometer is not off.

I recommend Cooper discover at3s. Look for the suv non Lt version. I'm getting a set next week for my truck in 265/75R16. I just put a set on an f150 yesterday and they ride great.
