So I guess the USB port doesn't charge devices on a '13 or '14?

I've tried a few times to charge my Windows phone using the USB port on my 2014 Tacoma, it appears not to work. Has anyone else noticed this or is it my phone?

My phone came with a wall charger that has a USB cable that plugs from the charger to the phone. I used that same USB cable when I tried it. I thought that USB ports were standard?

Your first problem was buying a Windows phone haha. There might be a setting you can change on your phone or an update that'll fix that? :notsure:

    Good luck fixing it tho

    This.

It's much faster to use a USB power adapter in the 12v for faster charging.

The usb charge is only really worth anything for the iphone/ipod. Very slow for other devices. Better off getting a 12 volt adapter usb charger.

Some of my old cords were made so cheap they only did data transfer. Be sure to check the cord in another location ....

X3.. It would probably take my 4s 10+ hours to fully charge with the factory USB.

Huh, my phone is less than a year old and I use the exact same cord with the AC charger and it works perfectly. Probably the configuration of the cable, just one more thing to hate about a Nokia 928 (P.O.S.)

The USB ports' main purpose isn't charging... It's a hard-line connection to the factory H/U, incase the device doesn't have Bluetooth.

And yes, my G/F's Windows phone wont charge with it either. My Galaxy S4 charges just fine, but faster with the 12v plugs.

My tacoma charges my iphone way faster than my wife's venza. 20 percent to 100 in a hour or so usually.

Interesting. I never have my iPhone plugged into the USB. I have a stock AC outlet in the center console I use and connect my iPhone via Bluetooth.
