    Not enough...
Took me an hour flat to buy my truck. I did not fuck around. I came in, I knew what i wanted, I knew how much I am willing to pay and at what percentage. Could not be happier with the buying experience and the truck itself. And I got treated better than on any of my 3 previous BMW purchases.

Sounds to me like you did not like the dealer and had buyers remorse about buying a truck instead of an SUV.

I delt with internet sales dept to buy truck.Test drove signed papers left in 1.5 hrs.Better experience than when I bought my honda. Some dealers just stink.I would of tried to wait for them to remedy it.Tacoma's are highly wanted for a reason.

Sorry to see such an issue that you got rid of the truck but I agree with anyone else here. I wouldn't have bought the truck if I already knew there was a problem. Regardless of the let me fix this. When I bought my truck it was 2 hours in and out from the time I got to the dealership until the time they handed me the bill of sale (cash sale). And then another hour until the truck was out of detail having a scratch removed on the fender. My sales guy took me to my house to uninstall some parts off my mustang then took me to the gas station in the truck and "accidently" forgot to shut off the pump at 30.00 and filled it all the way up.

I guess you disagree with me? I don't care if you drive an Xterra, I'm just pointing out that the capabilities are totally different. Totally different vehicle.

Are you saying an Xterra can perform off road as well as an OR Tacoma? It's laughable. Have you seen them offroad? I'm not talking about some dirt county road.

We leave the Xterra folks vehicles at the trail heads.

Best of luck with the Xterra, OP. I have a lot of respect for Nissan, and think they make a great vehicle. My dad has an '05 Xterra with 125k miles on it that has been even more reliable than my Tacoma, and he is not easy on it. And to the idea that a stock Xterra can't off road like a Tacoma is not at all my experience. I love the Xterras, and if I didn't drive a truck, it would be high on my list. And the dealer service for him has been top notch. Oh, and his V6 has a much more usable powerband and is way torquier and faster.

He's enjoyed it enough that my mom just bought a 2013 Altima that she absolutely loves. Nissan is a quality brand.

Did you try a different dealer? If you only tried one dealer then idk why you're so mad, you did it to yourself. If I was having problems and one dealer didnt fix it, on to the next.

I texted my dealer for a week. We bantered back and forth until he finally said " that's it " no more negotiating.

Op, what do you want? Sympathy? A grand farewell from Internet forum strangers? Who gives a shit what you did with your brand new truck, I'm sure Toyota is happy since they still got the sale.

You guys have got to be kidding me right now. Again, I'm not dogging on the Xterra. It's a decent SUV and serves many puposes.

You guys think an Xterra would out do or evenly match the Tacoma on a real off road or 4x4 trail?

You think a Tacoma is a real offroader? Please, it's a mid sized IFS equipped truck. I don't know where you get your Kool Aid, but it must be cold as shit if you think the Tacoma is the shit off road or on road.

In my experience, we have never thought "Hey, maybe the Xterra can't handle this." I don't off road for a hobby...but we use our vehicles to camp, explore, and the like, just like about 90% of the people who purchase them. The Xterra is just as well equipped for this as the Tacoma. I really don't care about which one when heavily modded can climb the biggest rock. When it comes to utility, it is just as capable as a Tacoma, stock for stock. And let's face it - that's what most people use it for.

+1 - this is entirely my point. Stock for stock, they are similar in terms of off road prowess.

While we're facing that, let's also face that if the Tacoma was the go anywhere vehicle of the world then there'd be no aftermarket need. So saying car X sucks because there's no aftermarket support and car X can NEVER GO ANYWHERE car Y can is so mindless an opinion it's laughable.

You can throw $100k in mods to a Tacoma and it will not do anything completely different than any other similar sized and similarly modded vehicle can't go. XTerra or otherwise.

Xterras have Locking rear differentials, bilstein shocks/struts and skid plates... Sounds familiar
Don't get me wrong, I'd rather have my truck but I'm not gonna dog on Xterras

Dude, it's a TRD OR. The OR stands for Off-road. The skills are in the name and the sticker. X-terras don't have the OR line, thus they are inferior.
Just like the jeep liberty. That thing was garbage until Jeep made them Trail Rated. Now they take families to the top of Everest in them.

I heard the Trail Rated tires actually pull down Everest into them, so technically the Jeep stays at sea level and the summit comes to it.
