Poolrunner: resale is the main reason I bought a Tacoma over a Frontier. That and the wife thinks the Tacoma is more aesthetically pleasing.

I know I'll get flamed, but Toyota trucks went downhill in terms of quality when they began being produced in the US.

The best vehicles I have owned have been built in Japan. my '95 & '97 Nissan 240sx and my wife's '12 Mazda CX-9 GT AWD.

Any savings you'd see from the slightly better gas mileage better be put into a saving account because it will be needed for repairs later on.

I get 18 mpg city in my Tacoma V6 4X4, that is what they say the 4x4 Chevy will get. I also have 265/75/16 AT's on it instead of the highway tires the Chevy will probably come with.

Also, and this is huge with me, no A-Trac which is the greatest feature while off roading for me. A-Trac is flat out amazing.

    Howdy,
the Taco still is more reliable and isnt going to be plagued with recalls. Obama motors cant compete!!!! I live in Texas and drive a Texas built truck and drink Texas brewed Beer (Lone Star)!!

I know most if not all the people on here are brand loyal to Toyota. But the reason I posted up the new info is to basically show what one of the direct competitors of the Tacoma has to offer.
Lest us not forget that competition is good, the new Colorado will in turn give us a better Tacoma.

This new one certainly looks a bit better, but I still can't get past the overall styling. I'm curious to see if their will be a surge of these driving around town once they hit the dealerships or not...
