I was checking out the stereo wiring on my 2006 Tacoma dbl cab to see if my stereo would be compatible. When I put the fan, temperature and vent control unit back in, I could not remember if it would light and dim with the dashboard light dimmer. It doesn't now. I pulled it out again and no wires were loose. Someone tell me if those dials are suppose to light up and dim with the dimmer. The owner's manual was MIA when i got the truck and mine has not arrived yet.

The recirc vent and AC lights do work.

    Thanks

Mine do not dim with the dashboard light dimmer. They will only illuminate when you turn on the lights. I have a 2009 ACS Cab 4x2

I stand corrected big guy. I tested them this morning on my way to work and the dials did dim when I used the dimmer switch. Maybe there is a short some where or they are not making a full contact. Good luck

Knowing is better than not knowing. Thanks for checking it out for me. I must have done something when I pulled out the control panel. Not serious, but I would like to get it working. I will have to pull out the volt meter next time I look at it.

you ever figure out the problem? I pulled mine and reinstalled and now all of them are lite except the turn dial closest to the drivers side. The one that determines fan speed.

    Anyone else have a suggestion?
