If it is the one I am thinking about, it has a hitch receiver but not the towing package with the 8 pin connector and trans cooler, with the heavier alternator.

They are not except a few minor interior and exterior cosmetic changes is all. The 2014 Baja TX is the 2015 Pro. The 2012 and 2013 probably are too but I have a 2014 so that is how I know and I compared both when I was buying. Largest cosmetic differences are the grille, scoop, and stitched in "pro" name seats (I think they are stitched in on the Tacoma). Pro you will pay more than if you find a remain Baja TX since Pro is a year newer but also it just came out so they don't give on "their" price.

Almost all Baja's were built with factory tow....very few Pro's have factory tow, but it is available (I have the proof sitting in my garage). Not sure why they put tow on so few Pro's.

I sat here for a year deciding on this same question, reading this forum, every Baja/Pro post. Then my front suspension turned to shit on my 2010 OR and I had to make a move. I could either find a used Baja (there aren't very many for sale) or order a Pro.

Do a search on auto trader for a Baja and see how many are for sale in the country at any given time. Or go to your local Toyota dealer and ask them to order a pro. It's tough either way.

My 2013 Baja turns heads. Yes it has the stickers on the sides and that helps (along with the lift, rims, and exhaust). Not too many pick up trucks you can buy out of the box that turns heads like the Baja, except the Raptor.

I just got mine inspected the other day and the 3 mechanics in the shop stopped what they were doing when they pulled mine in to look at it. Almost like it was a Ferrari.

Also, I don't have to worry about it when in parking lots, shit it has 19,000 miles on it. If it was a Pro, I wouldn't want to keep it unattended.

Only downside to mine. One of my favorite parts is the front and rear shocks, which the outer rust to shit where I live due to the snow/salt in PA. I wish I could have gotten a new one to try and keep the shocks looking new/waxed/cleaned. Fuck it. Still badass! Everytime I get in mine and start it up, I smile when I hear that exhaust.

Thanks to all of you guys that posted pics over the years and helped me buy one of the coolest trucks out there. It's why I get up at 5 am every day.

I am like you in that I wouldn't buy one until I found one with the factory tow package!!!!

Neither. Get a TRD OR and build it up from there. The Pro is not worth anywhere near its overinflated price. You can build up a far better Taco aftermarket than you get buying a Pro.

It's the same truck to be honest, cosmetics aside. Those differences are the key (cosmetic). The grill, hood, bumpers. I wouldn't mind the bumpers to be color matched on my Baja.

Pro in Inferno because in 10, 20, 30.... years you're going to get amazing re-sale value since it was a limited run

So was the Baja - It was not limited to HARD numbers, and neither is the pro, just limited to customers who ordered them, or a dealer who was willing to put a 38k$ tacoma on their books with no order.

I would bet there are fewer than 500 baja TX pro trucks per year of production.

I bought a 14 baja loaded up with nav and jbl, and then put a SC on it - I waited until the 15 and pro information was pretty solid and when I found it was just cosmetic changes over my TX baja pro, i bought the baja - I liked the barcelona red better than inferno, and the grey wheels better than black.

You can't go wrong with either though, both are great trucks.
