I like the looks of the TRD Pro more BUT if a dealer offered me thousands less on the Baja I'd be tempted...although tempted doesn't mean I'd pull the trigger.

Baja if it's cheaper, then make it a pro with better parts.

Ok, neither. I would get an Off-road and lift it 3".

Oh wait...Thats what I did, for the money I saved $2500.00.

My offroad has the same wheels, taller tires, a 1" higher lift than the Pro and the same interior as a Baja.
I don't have the sticker on the side, the grill, scoop hood... All these things I am more than happy without, as those cosmetics are just not interesting to me.

I would go with the TRD off road and buy an Icon stage 7 kit and some wheels and tires. You would then have a badass off road truck and be in it for less than the TRD pro.

All the new trucks have the clock. It's not unique to the Baja or Pro...figured I would mention it in case the only reason to upgrade was the Clock... lol

Neither, Get a base body style you want with 4x4 and add the stuff you want and it would be cheaper and better.

I was looking to buy a 2014 Baja.Toyota claimed that they didn't exist.I asked Toyota corporation where people were buying them from.I was told that I was wrong and "nobody can purchase what we don't build"

TRD Pro does not have the clock any longer. The clock has been moved to the head unit and the photos i've seen it just says "TACOMA" where clock used to be.

TRD BAJA Suspension...Rims and tires, blackout badging, TRD oil filler cap, front skid plate, N-Fab step bars, GrillCraft custom upper and lower grills. K&N air filter, TRD Supercharger.
I like both of them, and yeah if I got an enormous discount on the Baja...I'd do it...but as is, I'll go Pro!

How big of a discount would it take for you to pick the Baja? I'm referring to a price difference between the Pro and Baja.

Example: Pro $38,000 Baja $36,999 (numbers made up just for an example)

    $1,000?

    $2,000?

    $3,000?

    $4,000?

Given the market I've seen, the Baja is commanding very high prices, remaining new and used... in fact the 'upgrade' to a Pro was almost nil for me when I was comparing the used cost of a baja, vs. a new with one or two years more of warranty and free service.

So did you pick one? How much real money difference are you talking if you've got a quote?

    Nothing noteworthy
Baja because that's what I bought. Also, I got a good price on mine. I love everything about the truck and didn't want to wait to get a pro. Also, no extra mark up due to the pro being new and limited production for 2015. I snagged the last baja that my dealer was getting so I said what the hell. I think it is a sick truck and nobody is going to change my mind about that. To each their own though. No regrets here. Cheers!!

I would go for the Pro. As quick as the average poster here is to dismiss cosmetics...they are important!

If your dealer have baja on the lot, u can likely negotiate with the price than the pro, considering their almost identical except for suspension tuning which don't bother me since got nothing to compare anyway, I got mine 2.5k less from sticker price plus the dealer put weather tec mat and bed extender
