Hey guys thanks for all the wisdom, I've been scouring this place in info for a ton of things, eventually going to put a four wheel camper on my truck 2012 doublecab short box, but decided to do this to start and save up for a camper, I've looked at everyone else's platform threads and decided now that I've done something myself I better shareImageUploadedByTapatalk1410880178.113365.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1410880189.327122.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1410880217.278055.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1410880224.672379.jpg

Didn't really know what I was going to do to get another 14 inches, 60 inches is to short for me and I ain't sleeping all crunched up so I made a piece that is basically a small table that just slides under the main platform for transport, I have a bright blue topper which I'm getting painted soon to match truck and also just got a truck tent think... It's more like a sock for ur topper to extend the bed space ImageUploadedByTapatalk1410880402.095358.jpg

Using turnbuckles to secure it to bed and eventually I will
Make a main middle drawer for it

The purpose is for winter camping on snowboard trips I have a tri fold mattress that will fold out of the way for tailgate...

Will post more pictures when it is all together

I just downloaded this tapatalk app so hopefully I'm doing this right and not pissing anyone off

    Cheers!

    Looking forward to it.

I have a long bed and I travel solo, so my platform is only 30" wide which allows me to sit up with my feet on the floor. I use the rig to tow my dirtbike, camp and ride.

I built a Harbor Freight trailer, decked it with a sheet of pressure treated plywood and mounted a chock. I bolted a used pickup tool box on one side to store tiedowns, camping stuff, etc. It's inexpensive, light and tows well.

If you go a similar route, I'd suggest disassembling the hubs, cleaning out the hubs and the little bit of grease they put on the bearings. Repack the bearings with good synthetic grease. Clean any paint or weld spatter off the spindles and reassemble and you should be good for many miles. I know a bunch of guys who have hauled Harbor Freight trailers all over the place.

    Mine looks like this.

Rigid sr10inch, rigid duallys on cbi pillar mounts, bamf sliders, Jason cyber camper shell. 5100s at 1.75, wheelers aal 1.5 inch.

Nice bike, I have a crf as well. May I ask where you got thr bracket that's running along the left side of the rear fender area. I'm looking to build/buy something like that and haven't found anything that looks as close to what I need as that.

Nice trailer set up as well.

I'm not quite sure what you're asking about. If it's the box on the trailer, that's a pickup toolbox that I got off craigslist. Is that what you meant?

The side bracket on the bike that goes from the rear fender area to the passenger foot peg area.

Ah, the bike. That's a Dirt Bagz saddlebag bracket. Look at the middle of the page, here: http://www.dbzproducts.com

The idea is to give the rear subframe a little bit of support and keep any soft bags that I might use from flopping around. I don't have their bags and haven't decided what bags I might use, yet.

Cool, thanks. That's pretty much exactly what I'm looking for.
