BAK Roll-X Tonneau Cover Question

I am looking into getting a tonneau cover for my 2014 DCLB and I am leaning towards the BAK Roll-X since I like the fact that it is a "hard" cover but still rolls up easilly like a soft cover. I know that this cover mounts in the factory bed rails but I was wondering if the tie-down cleats can still be used in the rails or if the bed rails are basically useless after the cover is installed. I would appreciate it if anyone who has this cover can let me know.

 

No, you cannot use the factory rails. The BAK rails cover them.

Other than losing the rails, I like it very much. BAK makes some tie downs that use their mounting bolts but I haven't tried them yet. They're a little pricey.

It only leaks when I take it to the car wash. I have the Pop N Lock wired into the door locks so that combo sufficiently secures the cargo area when everything is buttoned down.

Youre right, they are kind of expensive for what they are, oh well guess we shouldnt use this site unless we are willing to dump money into our trucks lol
