We had a storm that took out the power for 7 hrs, it was 101 and humid. When I got home and couldn't start the honda generator I remembered the 120v bed outlet. I was able to run 4 lamps ,2 floor fans, I phone chargers and the 55 " led tv. Tried to run the refer but it drew a little too much. Tacoma saves the day!

I have a buddy who turned his Dodge Ram into an generator using one of these http://www.fabcopower.com/generat/bgen.htm
Usually you see these for worksite trucks or camping, but it also works when the power goes out. I carry a small inverter, but even a small blender will pop it's fuse.

For home, I keep a 5500 watter in the shed

Satoshi, debadged, rear view mirror bracket, tail gate hose clamps, trimmed mud flaps.
    Time to fix the generator!
