i went from driving an acura rsx to my access cab without any issues. my brother drives a DCLB and i honestly don't find it any more cumbersome either.
this seems like a exaggerated comment considering half the threads on this site are to do with people lifting and altering their trucks to make them larger.

All my fishing rods are expensive too (mostly Loomis and St Croix) from $400+ and they all break down. One piece rods are a pain in the ass in my opinion. You could install rod holders on the front of the bed using PVC pipe and the bed rail system, so that they store vertically. That is much safer than leaving an 8 - 11' one piece rod hang out over the side of the long bed.

You guys act like one piece rods are far superior than two or three piece rods. That isn't true though, you can get rods that feel identical if you just switch up the action and power a little bit between a one piece and non one-piece. If your one piece rods are so great, then why are the most expensive bamboo fly rods that go for a couple grand or more usually in 2, 3, and 4 pieces?

Love my 4 piece. Would rather carry my rod broken down in a case, anyway.

I have a long bed and I love it. Only hard to park on some areas where it seems like only FIAT cars would fit. Other than that, I'll never trade my LB

DCSB feels more sporty to me. If if I want to I could cut and thrust through traffic with this truck like a sports car. Not so easy to do with the longer wheelbase.
