I was at the dealership today, shopping for a new Tacoma. I asked about the sim card in lower-right-side of the head unit. Salesman told me it was for updating both the entune and the navi maps. This was news to me. Is anyone familiar with the card slot, and what functions can be updated via the card. The slot is labelled "navi map" slot or similar.

I don't think that's a sim card slot, it's an SD card slot. Many navigation maps are moving to this. They used to be DVD based, and then for a while hard drive based. The SD system allows for more cars to be Nav "ready"

True story. It's a Micro SD card.

    Not enough...
Enture gets updated via your phone. Maps via SD card.
