Had my taco about 1 yr and I just bought a ktm 450xc quad went and picked it up and drove right up to the back porch of my house to show everyone my new toy. I was so excited I jumped out of the truck and started in the door. I glanced back to admire my new toy and the truck was rolling down the yard headed for the hill. Which leads to about a 5ft drop off onto the pavement. I got it stopped just before the crest of the hill. Needless to say I now double and triple check its in gear and parking brake is engaged before I put one foot out of the cab.

This is true. The part that scares me is when the ABS on these trucks behaves the way it does, totally releasing all braking power to "reset". If you haven't experienced it, it will scare the crap out of you. Trust me, I have had vehicles with good brakes, the ABS system on the Tacoma isn't one of them.

When I installed 5100s on my previous Tacoma in the driveway. I got them all in, lowered the jacks and the front was about 6 inches higher than it was supposed to be! (well, looked that way anyway).

I tried to stay calm, took it for a short ride, and when I got back it looked awesome. :D

It wasn't that deep but it was enough to catch me off guard. It was up to the door sills I would guess.

Does it count if it was my previous truck? If so, when I went to merge back into the right lane and the ass end decided to try and pass in the left lane. I speared off the highway at a nice 45 degree angle chanting "Oh shit" the entire way.

On a scale of 1 to Monsoon, how wet did your floorboards get with that?

A few hours ago (3.5hrs ago) when 3 vehicles in front of me on the highway decided to occupy the same space at the same time. Just glad that myself and the person behind me were paying attention, seeing as we were traveling on a Hwy marked 55mph.

This last weekend driving down a jeep trail alone and having my truck teetering toward the drivers side. thought it was going to tip into the trail wall. The side of my truck was inches from the trail wall. teach me to wheel alone.

This last July it rained about 9 inches and I was driving around looking at our ground and got on the road that gets real nasty when it gets wet. Got to the top of the hill without 4x4 on and got about 30 feet before i slid to the ditch. Buried her to the frame. Thought I was gonna have to call my dad to get me out. I did manage to get out with a lot of flooring it. I ended up with about a half inch of mud all over. Definitely my oh shit moment.

About a month ago. I was coming to a stop and just happened to look in my rear view as this dakota was not coming to a stop. All I could do was say "oh shit. oh shit oh shit oh shit. I held the brake so he wouldn't knock me into the car in front of me. He hit. I got out of my truck and then remembered new bumper and 6" lift please please please... And boom. Just scratches on my bumper and a small dent in the lower tail gate. The dakota. F'd up. Big thanks to Bruteforce fab for not leaving me hanging on that save.

Last weekend took my '14 w/ manual to a do it yourself car wash place. Took out my weathertech driverside mat, cleaned the truck and put the mat back in. Pushed in the clutch, parking break was still engaged, started it and it immediately revved nearly to redline. I honestly don't remember exactly what happened after that, but I remember the tires chirped and then I was sitting there with the engine still on. Moral of the story, make sure your floor mats go UNDER the gas pedal.

I was wheeling through the back part of my farm at night and went to cross a dried up creek bed that I have crossed a thousand times, well apparently I wasn't where I thought I was and damn near rolled it. I created a whole new of vocabulary that night.

Had to climb out the passenger door to snap this one. It was a long day of pulling buddies trucks out as we had just gotten a dump of snow (10-12") and everyone was trying to leave the day after a big party at my buddy's house. Ending up sliding straight sideways after attempting the last tow.

Just had to lock the diff and did like a hundred point turn to get the front wheels back on gravel and just walked her up!

Here's a pic of my buddy "trying to help" with his 2wd 1/2 ton dodge lmao

It was -40C out that day! Didn't feel like helping him again lol the whole day was one big aww sh't moment.

Like 5 months ago I was following nofords08 not really close maybe 1000 feet back and we took a bypass to go around a drunk guy in a bronco well the guy did not like that sped up and blocked the exit to the bypass nofords08 slammed on brakes and barely stopped I however slammed and abs kicked in and wouldnt let me stop in time long story short we both got new bumpers him an allpro rear bumper and some cash and me a allpro front apex bumper and an allpro rear bumper. That was the last time we try to go around anyone again. Later that evening the guy came up to us and got out of his truck all pissed and drunk and ready to fight.

Edit: this was on a loose sandy road by the way
