I am considering replacing the plastic OEM tail gate liner panel with a new OEM part. It is the black plastic piece that attaches to the interior of the tail gate.

I am looking at some part diagrams on the web and it appears that this tail gate liner panel is actually two pieces. The larger main panel topped off with a upper plastic trim piece that runs along the top of the tail gate.

Is this correct? Is it two pieces? If so, what is the best place to buy both the main tail gate plastic panel, and the top plastic trim piece?

    Thanks

    Just top piece: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2n...der-coated-tailgate-cap-system-kb-voodoo.html

This will cover top and bottom piece: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/re...l-relentless-fab-tailgate-reinforcements.html

These are better and will out last the oem plastic pieces

Both items looks good. I think I really rather have the an OEM plastic pieces as my truck's two plastic pieces are really beat up due to the first owner using the truck as a dedicated work truck. Currently my truck is used mostly as a commuter. I bought the OEM bed mat to cover up the scratched up bed but I need to do something with this tailgate.

You'll have to go through a dealer for those pieces. I think it's Camelback Toyota that's on the forum and offers a discount; you'll have to search.
