    Any available options for a 2015 TRD Off-Road V6?

I'm a new member. Just bought the truck last week, its getting mods this week 6" ProComp Lift, 20" LRG wheels, Trex grills, new black bumper (the chrome bumper is just ugly). I'll post pics when I get it back. Would love to finish it off with a cold air intake but I'm coming up short on searches and availability.

    Welcome to TW!

    Go here http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/performance-tuning/

search for: CAI or cold air intake

Just a FYI - the truck comes stock with a cold air intake and unless your looking to drop a ton of coin into modifying the engine for speed all a aftermarket CAI really does is cost you a few hundred dollars to make your truck louder.

Just make sure you go with a 2012 and up and you'll be fine. If you do buy one just stay away from oiled filter such as k&n's. Go AFE or URD for sure. Or as stated above they dont do much unless you get a maf calibrator. You wont gain much low end torque unfortunately

Just purchased AFE because I think enclosed will be better since I off-road and drive through rivers/streams. Looks like the URD is fully exposed in front of the radiator.

good choice..................the URD leaks air at the point where the MAF sensor mates to the pipe.

ANyone doubting me can check XRU for my complaint to gadget and lack of support, over a year ago and this is on 2 of his intakes.

how, I have had 2 purchased about a year apart.

The fitment is shit where u plug the MAF sensor to the wire connector.... u need to keep the MAF sensor loose and then connect, or fabricate a gasket.

Both STUPID options and I brought it to Gadgets attention long ago, just like the MK2 exhaust not fitting all vehicles with spare tires.

He has since FIXED the mk2 Exhaust, just didnt come public with it........Left me with my dick in my hands so to speak.......well, he PAID ME for my cost to fix it, but I still got nothing online admitting it was flawed, so I still feel like I was left with my junk in my hands

Dam that sucks. First time I've heard bad things about the URD CAI that pertains to the MAF gasket. I heard plenty of the filter getting soaked in rain though. I hope he man's up and admit the flaws

Interesting..I will have to check mine next time its off. No issues so far with mine. Maybe it was just a "early" production issue? Or bad quality control..I remember my maf sensor fitting very snug and tight with the o-ring. Couldn't see how it could leak in any way. Only time will tell! Thanks for the heads up

1 was months ago........ The other a year.

    Do this.

Disconnect the harness..... Tighten the maf sensor screws down.... Try to reconnect.

Mine would not on either urd intake.
I had to connect first and then snug the screws. Otherwise the connector would not SNAP into place.

Now if ur using the newer maf extender, this is possible a moot point. Both issues I had were without the new maf extender.

I do have the new maf extender..so that was the fix maybe? I'll still be checking mine just for the peace of mind

Just checked mine. It does indeed unplug just fine without pulling the maf sensor from the intake tube :D

Thank you! I love it. 6" lift was the right decision. Gave me the clearance I wanted and an awesome look with the LRG Wheels and Mickey Thompsons.
