    If any of you have bought Sylvania bulbs between September 22, 2005 and July 11, 2014, you are eligible for a cash settlement.

    Go here ----> https://autolightclaims.com/

    You'll only get like $10, but I'm sure if you bought some of their higher end bulbs, they didn't last long, so cash in.

    I wish they made one for PIAA bulbs too. Those POS don't even last more then 1.5 years.

    It's a simple concept, brighter bulbs shorter life.

    Best thing for longevity is HID or LED

    Ha! Wonder if I'm eligible for ALL the Silverstars I bought. Funny story; I was once sued by Osram (Sylvania's parent company out of Germany) for intellectual copy-write infringement in a high court in Sweden after being on of the top sellers of their product for years. I told them where to go and hot to get there in the face of a rather large lawsuit. Good times.

    So yeah, considering my orders for Silverstars were often $20k-$40k per order perhaps I might be able to get some more cash? :D

    Bastards. Serves them right.

    Edit: "The Settlement does not include resellers." D'oh!

    Silvania SilverStars were quite possibly the worst bulbs I have ever used. They had a lifespan of 5 weeks. I had two burn out with in 2 hours of each other, but most of the time they would go within a day or two.

    I'm happy with my PIAA Xtreme White Plus bulbs. Yeah, I get about a year out of them, but they put out a nice even spread of bright light, which is more than enough to justify their cost. Short of doing the proper HID projector retrofit, these are my favorite option at the moment.

    I had silverstars in my wifes headlights and driving lights.. they lasted a while, but after replacing 2 of them in a year or so, I just went back to stockers. I think I still have the ones that were working, that I put back in the packages, laying around somewhere. Probably not worth the energy it would take to dig them out.

    I was all excited for these when they came out. I got real good at changing bulbs in my 2000 Mazda 626. I think they were like $40 - $45 a pair but you could find them with rebates or on sale for $25.

    The longest lifespan I ever got out of those Sylvania bulbs was a year.

    And the $10 refund isn't "set-in-stone" either...

    Nothing will come of this till atleast Nov 14/2014.
