I wasn't sure if I should put this in the gun section or here, so I threw it in here where more people will likely see it and chime in.

So where do you conceal your handguns in your truck? I just purchased a Sig Saur SP2022 and am in need of some concealment. Photos are appreciated and thank you for your comments !

I just keep my XD40 in the center console. Nothing fancy here. Just flip it open and grab it. There is a gun section on TW i think.

If I kept a gun all the time in my truck, as above, I would just throw it in the center console in the organizer I bought off here. Would kind of hide itself and be easy to grab.

Sometimes in the console, sometimes here. I have grey rag cut out of a t-shirt I throw over it when it's in this spot. There is a flash with the pic. In normal lighting it doesn't stand out as much. I attached velcro to the holster and inside the cubby so the Colt slides out easy without worry of dragging the holster with it.

Couple different places ... depending on your needs.

A holster that attaches to the front your seat somehow ... it fits right between your legs ... put you hand down and come up pointing.

I have seen another that attaches above your sunvisor ... reach up and come down pointing.

The center console as mentioned above or glovebox for ready access.

If you want true concealment with no ready access there are lock boxes that go under your seat ot in the console.

A $1.84 fix for true concealment ... go to a crafts store and get closed cell foam ... 1.5" or so thick .. trim it to the outline of the console felt mat ... cut out the outline of your choice of handgun ... place in bittom of console ... place aforementioned gun in cut out ... replace felt ... BAM.

Make sure you have a permit.

If I am in the truck it is in the seat next to me.
If I am out of the truck and must leave it in the truck it will be under the seat.

Appendix carry FTW. I try to make sure my shirt is untucked and outside the seat belt but I don't always remember to do that. Imagine trying to draw with the seatbelt over your shirt and you'll see why that's important.

I do keep a spare mag in the cubby hole.

This is my only option, it's illegal in MA to have a loaded weapon in a vehicle and not on your body. Even if it weren't though, I wouldn't carry any other way. Aren't those of you who keep a pistol in the truck worried about somebody breaking in and stealing it? Seems like a majorly big risk if you ask me, I don't keep anything highly valuable in the truck at all.

In my case, if I'm not in the truck, the gun isn't either.

I keep mine sandwiched between the passenger seat and the console. I also sometimes keep a small revolver in a holster clipped to the lip of that little storage area to the right of the steering wheel.

    This is best option.

Not Directed toward anyone... Just a word to the wise: Anytime a firearm is moved/removed from holster or hiding spot you risk an AD just by handling. (Most will say "that would never happen to me, I know what I'm doing". Ask those who have had an AD and they'll tell you they thought the same thing.) All guns should be treated as loaded and Ready to Fire, so the less handling there is the better... IMO

I actually did this for the backup pistol. "Truck Gun"

LOL. I hear you brother. In our military career, we lived in San Diego, Pascagoula, Boston, Maryland/DC, and Boston again. Unless we had substituted New York or New Jersey for Mississippi, we couldn't have lived in more restrictive states. Massachusetts was actually a whole lot better than Maryland, because you can at least get a carry license without providing proof of your life being threatened twice--as long as you live in a town with a good CoP.

I'm so glad to finally be in a free state and semi-retired. I even started leaving a snub in my console just because I could, but after a couple of days I realized that probably wasn't a great idea. Now I just roll with my AIW. Life is good here. Move!

I won't be here forever. I'm here for my job and once my wife is done college, we're gone, potentially to another country.
