This is my first post here although I've learned a lot from this great site. Last week I hit a deer and cracked my grill cover. I ordered a new one and it came in two pieces.
My question is how do I attach the outer "shield" piece that frames the main grill cover? On the old one it looks like each tab was melted. Is this correct and what is the proper tool to do this job? Thanks in advance.

you know what needs to be done... lol

get your lighter out, melt the tabs, pop in the new outer, melt tabs again.. done.

this process is done for the grill, the tweeter rings on the door panels, and anything else with those melted tabs. just take your time, and dont put too much heat on them and you will be good. i suggest using a small flathead to manipulate the tabs into place.

Thanks for the help and the quick reply. I figured it was that easy.
Before I do that I'm replacing the headlight assemblies. Also, I ordered an an ARB front bumper with a grill guard and new fog lights I'm putting on next week. A small deer at 65mph can do a lot of damage. I have a Westin bull guard on the truck now that saved my radiator.
