I have a soft topper that I leave up most of the time. This blocks the high mounted brake light. I'd also liek more backup light power. Has anyone mounted any lights on the tail gate or elsewhere to
    1) keep the cops happy
    2) help see whats back there easier

    Thanks

They sell those LED strips that tie into your brake and turn signals. I think their might be one with white LEDs also for reverse lighting.

If that sounds like what you are looking for.

You could mount a set of backup lights to the receiver in the back. I had them on my last Taco and they worked great. Maybe add a brake light that slides in the receiver hitch also.

Not my truck but like this.
