problem first accelerating

    has anyone had a problem with minor acceleration it hesitates a little .? just started week ago my Mechanic put it on the computer it showed a front oxygen sensor going bad .does that sound right?i've had many cars and trucks with bad oxygen sensors go bad it didnt act like that . thanks for any input steve

    3 inch lift by dealer at purchase
    Tell him he can replace it if it fixes the problem, but if not he has to give you your money back and put the old one back on, then see what he says.

    So it shows an O2 sensor going bad, is this with no check engine light? Did he say which sensor/side?

    i was planing on get one from toyota which 156.00 and put it in myself. so i was checking to see if anyone had problems like this but was fixed doing something else. steve

    Op what are your truck specs? 2.7 or 4.0, how many miles?

    its i think 2.7 or 2.4 154000 2002 he said it was the front oxygen sensor. it was doing just a little bit hestating and not all the time so i thought i would take it out clean it with air flow cleaner well that was the wrong thing to do because now its really bad the check engine light is on it was'nt on before i cleaned it. so maybe that confirms thats the problem.
