Hey guys. I'm having a tough time deciding what exhaust I'm going to put on my 08 TRD sport access cab.. Dual Flowmaster or Magnaflow. I had Magnaflow on my 00 4Runner, and liked the deep throaty rumble.. Anyone with any experience with duals on the Taco? I'd like a nice roar but don't want to be too obnoxious.
    Thanks fellas,
    Shayne

I am more of a FlowMaster fan however with saying that I also think you should YouTube videos of the Tacoma with the engine you have and then put magnaflow or FlowMaster in the search and you will be able to hear Videos and see what they sound like and hopefully help you in your decision. I would also wear a pair of headphones as they give you better sound quality than the standard iPhone or computer speaker

I have a dual Borla system on mine, and the exhaust sounds great. Had it done at a exhaust shop so i put big 4 inch tips on it.

Has a nice deep sound, and even when you get high revs it doesnt get to whiny

Got the magnaflow dual and it is awesome, highly recommended. From what I heard and saw, the flowmaster is a tad louder and not as deeper.

Borla is a great option as well, the magnaflow is a deeper, more smoother sound. Hopefully that makes sense.

    Things I need to tow.
Decided on the MBRP dual system over the Magnaflow because I preferred how they routed the drivers side pipe over the spare tire. Seemed cleaner to me. Anyway, I'm very satisfied.

    BUT

my last truck the ford explorer w/ 4.0 DOHC had a flomwaster 40 series (non-delta)

Sounded badass, deep but not too loud, had a good growl at 2k rpms

I've done a mod or two
I would have a look at getting a relatively small Flowmaster with a large resonator (16-18in) apparently it keeps it rumbly but not to obnoxious.

TRD SC, URD 1 size smaller SC drive pulley, Volant CAI w scoop, TacoTunes full kit, MagnaFlow muffler for flow but ran out rear to kill the drone.
I have a '14 DCSB with a Magnaflow which originally dumped before the axle and it had a a horrible drone so I had them dump it behind the passenger rear tire and REALLY like how it sounds. It's just enough to know there is something there but you can still hear the supercharger in boost and the is NO drone. I hated it before the axle but it is perfect for me after. Oh, it's a straight through single 18".

    Howdy,
I had a 60 series FlowMaster on a 6 cylinder Jeep and it was great with no whiney sound. It is the only FlowMaster that is designed for 6 cylinder engines. Had a nice low rumble. Have a goodun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
