    Hi Guys!

I'm new here having recently traded my 2004 Nissan Titan for a 2014 Black DC. Thanks for all the information on this site!

    I need some wiring/electrical help.

I purchased a Accele RS505 keyless entry keypad system to install on the truck. I searched and couldn't find any specifics on installing it in a Tacoma. I plan to put the wireless keypad in the space between the cab and the bed or inside the fuel door. I like to leave my keys locked in the truck while out hunting and fishing. My Titan had one and it is the thing I miss most on my Tacoma.

The selling website said the installation is simple - maybe if you are an electrical engineer! :)

Attached is a photo of the system and the wiring diagram that came with it.

The only functionality I am looking for is to unlock the driver's door upon code entry. I will locate the receiver unit somewhere near the driver's kick panel. My understanding is that the Tacoma's lock system is negatively triggered. My plan for wiring connections and questions follow:

    1. The device's harness has an inline 15 amp fuse on the power supply (red) wire. I plan to connect this to the battery + by running a wire through the firewall.

    2. The black (ground) wire of the device's harness will be connected to the steel body of the vehicle.

    3. The blue and white (common) wire of the second harness will be attached via wire tap to the common on the door unlock switch. Where is this wire and what is its color?

    4. The blue and yellow (normally open) wire on the device's harness will be attached via wire tap to the negative wire in the door unlock switch. Again, where is this wire and what is its color?

I don't think any other connections are needed if the only functionality desired is to unlock the driver's door. Am I oversimplifying or missing anything? Any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance for your help!! :)
