I have a 2006 TRD and the keyless entry is spotty (i bought it used). On both sets of keys, with new batteries, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Im starting to think it may be an issue with the receiver internally? Has anyone ever had any problems with this before?

They do wear out ... yours are now sitting on 8 years ... go onto eBay ... get a replacement(s) ... they're inexpensive ... we can than get you directions (they're on here somewhere and I have a copy) and hook you up.

+1, had the same issue with my 2006, especially after I took the remote swimming with me :)

You talking the key fob... not the key itself ... correct? If this is the case plenty on eBay.

Your neighbors will wonder what the hell you are doing but this works ...
