Can I replace just the lens or do I have to replace the whole assembly?? My buddy had bad cables which melted the lens when I jumped him. And yes everything was hooked up right.

You have to replace the entire housing assembly.

I think its bullshit that no one sells just the lens, you could easily heat up the assembly and replace the lens yourself

There are so many issues with condensation inside the lens on aftermarket headlamps that wouldnt make much sense to make them.

X2, but beware. There are many, many aftermarket headlight housings out there. Some look just like the OEM housings. Generally speaking though, you get what you pay for and many of the aftermarket housings end up looking like an aquarium in pretty short order. Oh, and the light pattern some of them put out is pretty pathetic too. Like I said, beware.

I wonder if an inexpensive aftermarket headlight lens will match up with a stock housing?

I know that there aren't any vendors selling just lenses. What I'm talking about is buying a pair of aftermarket headlights for cheap, heating them up in the oven and seperating the lenses then combining the aftermarket lenses with stock housings. If this is possible you could have clear lenses with OEM housings/reflectors for a fraction of the cost of new OEM headlights.
