Probably not. 12-14 has max A/C at the lowest temp while 05-11 does not.

I'm pretty sure it's the same. the 05-11 just has the blue square whereas the new models replaced that square with max a/c. I could be wrong though, wouldn't be the first time. I wouldn't mind doing it either to have the black rings and black buttons. I just wrapped the grey plate with a 3m carbon fiber wrap

    NOT YET
I would love to switch all the silver dimples out in my truck. Smooth black would look much better. I would love to know if all the center console panels are the same. If so I am bone yard bound to find black replacements.

In the '12 if you turn the dial all the way to Max AC it automatically turns on the AC. So probably different wiring needed.

sand it down flat and paint, or fiber glass it and paint.

yep. that's what i was trying to get at. i know for sure my 06 does not turn on max a/c automatically on the lowest setting because I can smell outside odors until I turn on recirculate.

Black oem replacements will be found on 2012+ models. I've checked here cause I'm looking for a black center console but coming across totaled 2012's and up in a junk yard with the piece in tact is hard. For now I just painted my grey one black and it's held up just fine except one cup holder cause my wife tried to wedge and oversized water bottle in it. It's an easy touch up, just too lazy to take it all out again, lol. This is what I did with mine in the mean time just to make it different. Just plasti-dip used to replicate a carbon fiber finish.

    My 11' has Max A/C

I think it's the bastard child, it also has the 12-15 instrument cluster.

It is annoying. You wonder who in the engineering department looks at this shit and decides to change stuff that works perfectly well and is pretty much universal between all makes. I don't know of another vehicle that has the Max AC setting as part of the temperature adjustment knob.

Think you may be wrong. My 2011 has max a/c at the bottom and automatically turns on the a/c when i move it there.
