Are they good for an hid conversion? I hear everyone say ebay projectors suck but i dont want to spend three weeks and 1k building my own even if the eBay are 50% as good as retros. That will still be fine.

I would rather buy these for 175 +100 for the hid kit. And get a 30 inch light bar for my lower grill opening

No. Not at all. There is someone on here that was finally able to do the conversion with them but it is damn near impossible with those lights. I wouldn't even attempt it.

They look cool but that is about it. I wouldn't buy them again personally.

I read in one of your comments that you wouldn't buy them again. May ask why not?

I did the conversion.. as far as I know.. the only set..

it WAS a PITA.. but.. like you said.. out of the box.. they suck as far as light output OP.

I loved the looks of these headlights, but hated the quality.. so i retrofitted some Morimoto Mini's into them. now, i have the looks, and performance. it was not easy.. and was very time consuming. they are not a direct plug n play.. in fact.. a regular retrofit is easier than what I did.

I have a couple threads regarding the process and some pics. I'll see if i can track them down. it is also linked in my build.

I have these. You get what you pay for, but then I only paid $200 for them which is less than trying to buy a stock pair. The coating tend to flake off after a while too.
