I prefer the TRD PRO look over a custom grille, not to mention the insane wait time on one for someone to build a proper grille. no thanks.

I only waited 2 weeks from StealthTaco to get mine. And totally worth it to me, instead of spending 350.00 to 450.00 for less than 20.00 worth of plastic. But as I stated your money your grill.

I was looking at the camelback grill for a while now...I was hoping at one point they would offer the color matched PRO...guess that's not happening anytime soon...So I would have to get the color matched for 187 plus 350 for the pro insert meh (maybe you'll get $120 back for the chrome but still...meh)

damn mgm is not even a pro color = racist

Someone in China will make the damned grill and sell it for $35 on ebay IF they knew how many of you guys wanted one. It is just a grille for god's sake, it keep rocks from hitting your radiator.

My 2012 Tacoma has an ugly grill, but that is how Toyota built it, so I will just not look at it. Do I think spending $200 or $400 on a mesh grill is going to be any better? No, but some guys do and more power to ya! Should Toyota sell the limited edition one to everyone? That is their call.

I dig the pro grille. I think it looks the best out of all of them. I don't even like the pro grille on the tundra. But on the Tacoma it looks great.

However, I've never once been stepped aside by anyone that's been like "omg xyz on ur Tacoma is cool", even other Tacoma drivers are oblivious. I don't think anyone cares out in the real world, but we care on TW and i guess that's all that matters :)

It's always entertaining when people come to this thread to call the Pro grill a $X.XX piece of plastic, clearly demonstrating their knowledge of injection molding production costs as they relate to production rate

Not to mention the cost of developing and maturing a new die, divided by the total units made (very few)

doesn't mean it's not overpriced, as many as Toyota made, the cost is substantially less than you think. The more they make, the cheaper it is. It's called mass production. They are nice grills, but you won't catch me paying a premium for them.

I would argue that it's more than you think.

    Toyota Tacoma sales 2012-2015:
    ~600,000

Toyota TRD Pro Tacoma's that will be made:
    1,000

asking price for base grille insert:
    ~$150

asking price for Pro grille insert:
    -$370

I'm just thankful Toyota didn't charge 600 times MORE more for the grill since they'll only build 600 times LESS TRD Pro Tacomas!

    "walking back from food shopping"?
Maybe you should join the Tundra forum because your obviously just being a Dick here man. I don know where you live but I think you underestimate the number of Tacoma owners out there that notice things like lifts wheels and yes even a different looking grill. I have been asked about that grill 3 or 4 times in the last 3 months either at a gas station or yes once at the "food shopping" store.

humm weird. it was installed on my truck for prob 6 months or so, no one ever said a word. not that i care, i got it cause I liked it. i dont think anyone really notices these things, people are generally too busy going about their lives... i never got 'stopped' or pulled aside to comment on my tacoma, or any daily driver for that matter.

379 for the grill and $100 to install at Toyota. Gotta make it look like a truck instead of a highlander. The TRD exhaust is awesome too.
