    kydex is pretty damn retentive. I got rid of my Serpa and went with Kydex. lighter, not as bulky, retentive, no worrying about hitting the release, just grab and go with kydex.

    You are correct sir. It is the placement that would make it illegal. In TX if you are legally eligible to own a handgun you can legally carry it in your motor vehicle, boat, or RV. (some restrictions apply). But the Penal Code states that it cannot be "in plain view" which is what the post that I quoted was stating and I was agreeing. I stand corrected on my wording.

    I have several Serpas and several Kydex. When made correctly, the Kydex is very retentive, usually requiring a twist of the gun butt to remove from the holster.

    Enjoy, I think this product is a great idea. Just beware of the wording of the law in your state.

    Often road rage incidents with fire arms involved ends up with two dead participants.

    Nailed it, I can actually put too much in the holster and the gun can't be removed. Kydex offers just as much or more retention than a button or thumb break without adding a step to your draw.
