Satoshi Grille Finished...Almost

Decided on doing another recessed grille. This time I went ahead and did the triangular vent sides as well. Those were sorta a pain but I wanted it to be a little different. Everything went perfect this time around, can't really even tell that it was bondo/fiberglassed on the sides. However, I go to throw it on and the damn hood release was catching/rubbing where I had one of the posts to attach the grille.

So as a heads up for those doing this mod make sure you leave enough space right there. Now I have to go back and cut it off and move it over. Not that big of a deal, just more time consuming on an already time consuming mod. End of Rant

like the triangles!
Thinking about painting the grille surround then doing this mod.
Seems a little hard/time consuming tho
I'm lazy and impatient

man there's no way I'd do this to my truck! I'd be too scared I'd screw something up and it looked like caca.

Anyone in the Austin area who'd be willing to do this for me?

Ya, I'm the same way normally which pisses me off even more that I made the mistake. The one I currently have on the truck wasn't close, but I guess I just rushed the measurement.

i managed to take 8 hours to install the lift on the front of my truck. Had to uninstall and reinstall like 4 times cause i kept forgetting washers and what not.

I used a perforated metal and opted for the smaller holes since I didn't want to see much behind the grille. Can't afford the grillcraft so I went cheap!

Sounds like when I helped a friend install the 5100's. We got one side on and then went to do the other but he didn't remember where he had the notch set so we had to uninstall/install again.
